Merchant Surcharge Fees » Read More Important Information When Traveling With Your Visa Credit or Debit Card When you travel, go with the convenience and security of your TruStone Financial Visa® credit card. To make the most of your card experience while you are away, here are a few simple but very important things to know before you leave. Provide updated contact information. Our fraud detection systems are constantly verifying transactions to safeguard your security when you use your Visa credit card. If there is any suspicious activity or purchases out of your normal spending habits, there may be a temporary hold placed on your card until the activity can be verified. It is essential we have up-to-date contact information so we may contact you in this event. If a temporary hold is placed and we are unable to reach you, you may be left without access to your credit or debit card. Notify the credit union that you'll be traveling. Contact TruStone Financial with your destination and dates of travel. A flag will be placed on your account to ensure your transactions will be processed with minimal interruption. Without proper notification of your travel plans there is a chance our fraud detection systems will view your activity as suspicious and a temporary hold may be placed on your card until the activity can be verified. Research ATMs and applicable fees ahead of time. Because ATM locations can change frequently, check the credit union website for a listing of surcharge-free ATMs in the area you will be traveling. When you use your Visa credit card internationally, there is a fee of 1% of each transaction in U.S. Dollars. Be sure you know the PIN for your Visa credit or debit card. You can get local currency from ATMs worldwide. It is best to memorize your PIN, and never write it on the card or carry it with the card in your wallet. If you need a PIN for your credit card, please contact us and we will order one for you. Plan ahead as this process can take 7-10 business days before you receive a new PIN. Make a record of your Visa card numbers and the telephone numbers for reporting lost or stolen cards. Keep these numbers in a safe place away from your wallet so you have them available in the event you need assistance. This number can be found on the back of your Visa credit cards Employment opportunities are available at all TruStone Financial locations.
