CONGRATULATIONS Jenny!
Jenny is a Financial Service Coordinator at the Racine Branch, and she was recognized as the “Fisherperson of the Quarter” for the first quarter in 2006. FISH! is a philosophy that encourages everyone to feel inspired about the work they do.
At AM Community Credit Union, employees are nominated by their peers for actions that demonstrate this philosophy by service that is above and beyond normal job requirements, whether applied to member or employee interactions. These interactions are portrayed in at least one of the four simple but powerful principles: “Be There”; “Play”; “Make Their Day”; and “Choose Your Attitude.”
An internal committee of peers chooses the “Fisherperson of the Quarter” award from those employees nominated during the previous quarter, and CEO Don Gillespie awards the recipient with a certificate and a special FISH! polo shirt.
Jenny was chosen for “Being There” for our members. On two separate occasions during the first quarter of 2006, Jenny saved our members from being taken advantage of through scams. One such occasion was when she intercepted three counterfeit postal money orders, preventing the member from being scammed out of more than $2,500. On the other occasion, Jenny saved a woman from a lottery scam where the member supposedly needed to pay a $1,500 finder’s fee. Congratulations Jenny!
