Mark K., Member Service Generalist at the Green Bay Road Branch, received the Working Harder for Working People Award in April 2007. This award is a way for individual staff members to recognize and thank their co-workers for activities on the job, however small, which go above and beyond and are helpful, kind or noteworthy. These acts are ones that exemplify AM Community Credit Union’s values:

• Making a positive difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve;
• A high standard of service;
• Mutual loyalty in all of our relationships; and
• Sound financial stewardship.

Any act of helping or kindness on the job towards a member or co-worker that goes above and beyond the call of duty may be nominated for the Working Harder for Working People Award. Mark was chosen to receive this award by a committee of his peers for his high standard of service. Mark received a letter of commendation from a non-member who lives out of state. This person was compelled to write because Mark assisted him in buying a car from our member. This gentleman is a credit union member in his home state and applauded Mark for treating him as if he were our member. Mark kept him informed of the entire car-buying process up until the transaction was complete. The buyer went so far as to say, “Frankly, I’m not sure if I had not come across this individual if this transaction would have transpired. His professionalism was outstanding, and I’m sure this is not the only time he has received accolades. Congratulations on finding such an excellent employee.”
